Mag Fhloinn – This well is now neglected, but the structure is still standing and the water still flows. It is located in a wooded area close to Holden Leather craft, and flows immediately into a small stream which soon makes its way to the sea. There is little indication that it has been tended to in recent times, and was quite overgrown. It took two visits to find, prompted the second time around by more careful scrutiny of the photographs from the National Folklore Collection. The shrine was eventually located, hiding in plain sight under heavy greenery. Any indication of its former importance as a holy well is no longer apparent. The water is clean, and has a slight but steady flow. (BMF 24/11/2021)
